G-Force organises cricket training camp in Ahmedabad
By ENN, Ahmedabad: In a bid to tap the budding cricketing talents in Gujarat, the Dubai-based G-Force Cricket Academy has organised a 10-day long cricket training camp at Railway Cricket Ground in the city from December 26.
In a release here today, Gopal Jasapara, a local representative of the G-Force, said, ''During the training camp the cricketing aspirants would be trained by former West Indian Cricketer Jimmy Adams and former Indian Test cricketer T A Shekhar.
''The duo would be supported by a battery of senior cricket coaches like R Madhvan, Anil Thakrar, Mahendrasinh Jethwa and Gopal Jasapara.''
''These famous crickters will give an advanced, special training to select 30 cricketers from different parts of the Gujarat,'' Jasapara said.
All the 30 participants would be given 7-hour long vigorous training every day. This training has been divided into two sessions -- morning 0800-1200 hrs and 1330 to 1630 hrs.
''Of the 30, few selected players would be taken for further training with players of other Indian, Asian, Gulf, UK and
African counrties, venue for which has yet to be decided,'' he added.
