Marriott international inc. turns 'Shakahari' in Ahmedabad, Gujarat

By ENN, Ahmedabad, Today marks a historical first for Marriott International Inc.(chain of about 3300 hotels worldwide) the Company's premium offering, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad warmly welcomed guests to Shakahari - its first ever pure vegetarian specialty restaurant, which opened today.

Located on the first level of the hotel, Shakahari will offer its guests an opportunity to savor the Indian vegetarian culinary treasures with a contemporary touch. The restaurant offers a comfortable seating space for up to 80 guests. It also offers exclusive space for private gatherings.

Speaking on the occasion, Jeffery Tyler, General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad said "With the opening of Shakahari, we look forward to making Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad the ultimate and preferred culinary destination of the city".

Sunil Kumar, Executive Chef, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad says, "We, at Shakahari, employ diverse cooking techniques that will surely keep the taste buds of the health conscious and sinfully indulgent equally satiated. Some of our signature dishes are Paneer Shahajani Tikka, Dal Shakahari, Nimona, Khubooli, Anjeer ki Tikki, Paneer Hara Pyaaz, Khubani Bhara Kofta and Dahi Pudine ke Kebab. Our menu also includes delicious desserts like Gulab Ki Kheer and Zauk- e-Shahi which perfectly complements the sumptuous main course."
