Gas cylinder explosion: 3 killed in Gujarat district

By ENN, Bhavnagar: Three children were charred to death today in a gas cylinder explosion in old Mankewadi area of the city, police said.

The incident took place in the house of Laxman Rathod following a gas leakage, when his wife Valiben had gone to drop their elder daughter to school, leaving their three other children at home, they said.

The cooking gas cylinder burst on the first floor of the building killing the minors, they said.

The deceased were identified as Jignesh Barot (10), Dhruvit (3) and one-and-half-year-old Twinkle, they said.

Laxman was out of station when the incident took place, they said adding investigations were on.
